Redemption Rebels, Redemption Teachers
Friday Jun 26, 2015
Friday Jun 26, 2015
Hey Sweetest Friends,
There are two kinds of rebels in this world. And there are two kinds of teachers.
There are rebels who want to take everyone backwards. And rebels who want to bring the whole world forward.
And there are teachers who are there to break the shell off of people asleep in the nothingness, and help them see that there is a world to go out and change. And then there are teachers of the ‘changers’ in the world – teachers, or perhaps ‘guides’, of those Souls who are bursting to fix the whole world and make everything beautiful.
These days, most young people (and some of us older ‘young-at-heart’ people) are of the latter type of rebel; we are ‘Redemption Rebels'. But frustratingly, most teachers are the first kind of teacher; they are ‘Exile Teachers’.
And the problem is that Exile Teachers can cause great harm to Redemption Souls. Even slowing down, God forbid, the whole world from getting fixed and beautiful.
It is SO IMPORTANT that we Redemption Rebels believe in the voice of our Souls!
So give a listen to this week’s shu-shine and get some insight into what kind of Rebel you are, and what kind of teacher you may be looking for.
Sending everyone blessings to find Redemption Teachers who can guide us to Rebel until the world is a Garden of Eden again!

Friday Jun 12, 2015
Hey Sweetest Friends,
Imagine you lived in a gigantic kingdom with millions of citizens. And then imagine if one morning you woke up and found that a note had been slipped under your door. It’s from the King! He has invited you for a private and personal visit. He’d like to spend some one-on-one time talking with just you.
This actually does happen. Every morning.
Every morning, each and every individual is personally invited by the King of the Universe to come up to His palace for a quiet and personal conversation. Incredible. The King of the Universe can’t wait to have some one-on one time with YOU!!
Give a listen to this weeks Shu-Shine for a narrated journey up to the King’s palace.
Sending everyone blessings to always find time to tell the King of the Universe all of your secrets; and then, as Reb Shlomo z”tl says, the King will tell you all of His.

Sitting in HaShem's Garden
Friday Jun 05, 2015
Friday Jun 05, 2015
Hey Sweetest Friends,
There are beautiful secrets hidden in the Jewish prayer book. It can perhaps be called “The Spiritual Journey of the Exile”, as it has been composed in waves over the past 2,000 years, and is the only Holy book in our liturgy that has been compiled exclusively for this diaspora. Indeed, the secrets are so deep that we are taught that studying the prayers brings Spiritual reward in both this world and in the World to Come. Crazy.
The opening few verses of the Ashrei prayer give over a secret of how to center in a state of Zen every day.
Give a listen to this week’s shu-shine to decode the secret!
Sending everyone blessings to dwell in the garden of HaShem every moment of every day.
Shabbat Shalom and Tons of Love,

Getting Real - Parshat BeChukotai
Friday May 15, 2015
Friday May 15, 2015
Hey Sweetest Friends,
So… are you a person with a Soul inside you? Or a Soul with a body around it?
And do we live in a physical world with Spiritual dimensions to it? Or a Spiritual world with a physical layer?
Are we, as people, here to consume? Or here to grow?
Is the physical world our food? Or our building blocks?
Give a listen to this week’s shu-shine to get some perspectives on (re)aligning our perspectives with the things as they really are.
Sending everyone blessings to live your mission in life to its fullest every day!

Doing Good or Feeling Good?
Friday May 08, 2015
Friday May 08, 2015
Hey Sweetest Friends,
It’s great to feel good, but not when that becomes a pursuit in itself.
We have to make sure we don’t let that distract us from actually doing good in the world.
And there is not time like the midst of Sefirat HaOmer to examine what were are doing, what our motivations are, and how we can tune our actions towards fixing the entire world.
Give a listen to this week’s shu-shine and enjoy a recap of the last five weeks of Sefirah, and how everything is coming together for the next two weeks of Foundations and Royalty.
Sending everyone blessings to do the highest good every day for one another!

Being Completely There - Parshat Emor
Friday May 01, 2015
Friday May 01, 2015
Hey Sweetest Friends,
Can you imagine what the world would be like if we each physically looked like the precise place we were on our Spiritual journey? Crazy, right??
But imagine a time when the physical and the Spiritual were direct reflections of each other. A time when saying rotten things about another person caused your own body or house to start rotting away. A time when a person short on patience was also short on height. And a person with aggression had unusually long and burly arms. And a person with arrogance had an upturned nose.
A long time ago, the world was like that. A long time ago, the Earth was seen for what it was: A physical layer encasing a Spiritual world.
We don’t live in a physical world with a Spiritual dimension to it. We live in a Spiritual world with a physical layer around it.
We are not physical people with Souls inside. We are Spiritual beings riding around in our bodies for an up-to-120 year journey.
Yet today, when we try to be there for one another, we cannot readily see how whole we are, or exactly where the other person’s needs are. And that makes it harder to reach out for help and to help another person. Because we have a hard time telling if the advice we are getting is coming from a place of helping us, or just the other person living out his or her own story through the personal questions we have shared.
And when we look at another person, it is not so easy to know just the right thing to say to heal their Spirit and bring them to the highest place.
Listen to this week’s Shu-Shine to get some insight into what the world used to be like, and how to put one’s self aside in order to be there for another person in need.
Sending everyone blessings to be there for one another in the highest ways, helping each other grow to the highest heights in the most complete and pure ways.

The Mean of Life in Israel - Amy Yisrael Chai
Wednesday Apr 22, 2015
Wednesday Apr 22, 2015
My Sweetest Friends, This morning I cried as I sat in a memorial ceremony for the fallen soldiers and victims of terror of Israel – those who gave their lives so that I and my family could be here in this moment. And tonight I laughed and glowed as I shared in the first hours of celebration of Israel’s independence – a wonder of joy and miracles and familial love. How can I possibly share with those who live outside of Israel what it means to be part of this living history? How can I possibly explain to any Jew still living in the exile why their lives are only shadows of Judaism until they come home? I don’t know if I can. But the attached shu-shine comes from my deepest heart. And maybe it will reach yours… Moadim L’Simchah L’Geulah Sh’leimah — May this joyous holiday bring the ultimate redemption. With all my love, ~Shu

The Benefit of the Doubt - Parshat Tazria
Friday Apr 17, 2015
Friday Apr 17, 2015
Hey Sweetest Friends,
So… it’s so easy to judge another person. And it’s so darn easy to put another person down in order to boost ourselves up.
"Ah, but I was only joking!"
"Man, he wouldn’t mind!"
"She doesn’t care!"
Yeah… Right.
Do we really see beyond the surface? Do we really see what runs underneath another person’s skin, and what they feel deep inside?
It’s so, so, so important. It’s so, so, so, so deep! And it is what the world is waiting for so that we can finally make it a Garden of Eden.
Listen to this week’s shu-shine and learn a little bit about what it means to get beyond the surface in the way we see other people.
Sending all of us the deepest blessings to see the beauty in one another, and to shower each other with loving light and the benefit of the doubt – opening up the gates of Divine kindness and love.

Let Go and Grow - Pesach 2015
Friday Apr 03, 2015
Friday Apr 03, 2015
Hey Sweetest Friends,
So its the time of liberation! Liberation from all the limitations and boundaries that have held us back until this very moment!
Some people mistaken liberation for freedom. But liberation is so much, much more. Freedom is just getting out from being controlled by anything external or internal that has you all bound up and intimidated. But liberation is when you channel that liberty into purpose. The water in a fire hydrant with its cap broken off is free; but it is wasted and without power. But once a hose is attached to the opening, and the water begins to become channeled, its power is realized — liberated. And now it can be directed into a purposeful impact in the world.
I send all of us a giant blessing this Passover to go beyond getting free, and to get truly liberated!
Yes! Get free of all the things real and imagined that have been holding you back and holding your energy in!
But also open yourself up to being channeled. Seek the voice of HaShem calling you through life itself, and hear your own inner-voice respond with its encoded awareness of what you are here to do. This moment.
A thousand mile journey begins with one step.
Happy Pesach, and Tons of Love,
~Shu
